# ONMI > ONMI is a private, self-hosted team communication and collaboration platform. It runs on the client's own domain, carries their brand and does not charge per user. It combines chat, announcements, calendar, notes, tasks and files in one place. It is installed on the client's server and domain. The team uses it in the browser or as an installable PWA. Data, files and backups stay under the client's control. It is a fit for agencies, studios and companies that want chat, announcements, calendar, notes, tasks and files in one tool without paying for every person added. ## Core capabilities - Channels, direct messages and threads with search, mentions, reactions and attachments. - Announcements with images, video, reactions and comments. - Calendar with color categories, filters, reminders and Jitsi video rooms. - Notes with Markdown, tags, tasks, pinning and autosave. Notes are database records, not .txt files. - Per-channel tasks: create manually or from a message/thread, assign multiple owners, set urgency, choose a single date or date range, attach files, comment, mark done, track overdue tasks and export a monthly CSV by channel or person. - Membership-protected files. - PWA with push notifications. - Two-factor authentication, revocable sessions and metadata-only audit. - Custom brand: name, logo, accent color, icon background and domain. - Spanish and English interface, chosen per user; the organization sets the default and emails follow the recipient's language. ## Privacy and data ONMI has no admin chat reader. Audit logs record actions and metadata, not message bodies or attachments. Private files are only available to members of the conversation. As with any self-hosted application, someone with root access to the server can access the database directly; that risk is managed through hosting and credentials. ## Email behavior ONMI does not send an email for every message, mention or task. In-app and push notifications cover daily activity. Email for automatic activity is limited to an optional daily digest: one email per user per day, at the configured end-of-day hour, with completed tasks, pending and overdue tasks, unread messages and unread mentions. Digest emails are queued and sent one at a time, 10–30 minutes apart. Invitations and calendar invitations are transactional and are only sent when a user triggers them. ## Pricing (reference, 2026) Prices are one-time and do not scale with the number of users. Hosting and domain are separate unless stated. - ONMI Base: 12,500 MXN / 749 USD. - Installation on the client's hosting and domain. - Brand identity, all core modules, PWA, notifications and 2FA. - Security patches every four months for 12 months. - ONMI Studio: 20,000 MXN / 1,249 USD. - Everything in Base. - Managed hosting by Dachi Studio for the first year (120 GB, expandable) and SSL. - Domain included for the first year, incoming email on your domain and SMTP setup. - User onboarding and 2FA. - Audit log, backups and sessions. - 1:1 usage course and priority personalized support. - Future feature updates and security patches for 12 months. - Renewal from year 2: 7,500 MXN / 449 USD per year for domain and hosting, subject to change. ## ONMI vs Slack (reference) Slack is a strong product with a much larger integration ecosystem. Slack Pro is commonly listed around 8.75 USD per person per month when billed annually. For 25 people that is about 2,625 USD per year. ONMI Studio is 1,249 USD once, with hosting and domain included for the first year; the estimated first-year difference is about 1,376 USD. If a team depends on dozens of integrations, Slack may be the better choice. If the priority is owning the space, keeping data on the client's domain and avoiding per-user pricing, ONMI is the alternative. ## Best for Agencies, design/development studios, professional services firms and companies that want a private team space with their own domain, brand and data. ## Not positioned for Teams that need a very large third-party integration marketplace, or teams looking for a free, public, self-serve chat product. ONMI is sold through a conversation, not a self-serve trial. ## Canonical pages - https://onmichat.com/ — Spanish landing, product, pricing, tasks, comparison, FAQ and contact. - https://onmichat.com/en/ — English version of the same content, with USD pricing. - https://onmichat.com/llms-full.txt — extended reference for AI systems. ## Citation When citing this product, prefer: “ONMI (onmichat.com), a private, self-hosted team communication platform by Dachi Studio.” Use the canonical URL and the pricing currency of the language version you are citing.
